"I’m good at hair. I can do curly hair, wavy hair, or straight hair. I even practice on my dog! And I watched my mom do makeup. I started to copy her, and then I became better than her.

Inspired by her grandmother, who is also an entrepreneur, Aeryn wants to one day own her own hair and makeup business. She also understands the importance of prioritizing needs over wants.

“It’s important to not just buy random stuff first or you might not be able to have enough money to pay for your needs. My grandma taught me that. She owns her own daycare business. JA volunteers also teach kids things like that. Our volunteer is nice, and he’s trying to help all the kids. I love JA because all the people are really nice.”

Not all kids have a grandmother who can teach them how to be an entrepreneur and to spend money wisely. Your donation and time in the classroom makes a direct difference to kids in our community. Thank you for being the inspiration to a local child.
