JA Essential Work Skills - Educator

THIS IS “HIRE” EDUCATION.

64% of young adults seeking an entry-level full-time position within the next 12 months see the need to improve their soft skills, the area most valued by employers. (June 2023 IPSOS Young Adults and Employers of Young Adults Market Research Study)

There is a recognized skill gap that educators are navigating, and Junior Achievement is committed to collaborating with you to collectively address this challenge. Together, we aim to provide support and resources that enhance the skills and knowledge necessary for student success.

Through JA programs and initiatives students are able to develop and practice the competencies employers are looking for in their new hires:

  • Creativity & Innovation
  • Critical & Analytical Thinking
  • Cultural Agility
  • Effective Collaboration
  • Engaging Communication
  • Self-Direction

3DE® students also have the opportunity to earn micro-credential badges in each competency of these six competencies that stack up for a full JA Essential Work Skills Credential.

As a trusted community partner, Junior Achievement is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between education and business. With over 100 years of experience fostering long-lasting relationships on both sides, we understand the challenges you face as you prepare young people for their futures and we have the connections with local business partners to back you up.
