JA Career-Ready Credential

SHOW YOUR SUPPORT TODAY!

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate of young adults is significantly higher than adults over 25 years of age. JA Credentials was created to help young people improve their employability.

JA Career-Ready Credential, the first credential featured on Junior Achievement’s new credentialing platform, allows young people to gain new skills and competencies, test their abilities, and earn credentials that validate they have the essential skills needed to succeed in the workplace and life.

They will advance their education and career path as they earn 6 micro-credentials:

  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Critical and Analytical Thinking
  • Cultural Agility
  • Effective Collaboration
  • Engaging Communication
  • Self-Direction

These micro-credentials stack up to the JA Career-Ready Credential, validating they have the in-demand skills employers are looking for and are prepared to thrive in the real world. Using one-click verification, JA Credentials are secured by blockchain records that allow employers to view the candidate's achievements to ensure they are accurate and legitimate.

As a trusted community partner, Junior Achievement is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between education and business. With over 100 years of experience fostering long-lasting relationships on both sides, we understand the challenges of finding qualified candidates and the challenges young people face as they prepare for their futures

Contact Ashley Adamson at ashley.adamson@ja.org or (260) 496-1759 for more information.

If the JA Career-Ready Credential sounds like something you and your company would benefit from, we need your help! Before we can offer this program, we need to demonstrate the demand for it among employers like you.
